Monitoring of viral diseases the determinants TMV and PVY in Burley tobacco varieties group

Abstract: In the area of town of Plovdiv is carried out monitoring of viral diseases causing TMV and PVY. The study was conducted on large-leaf tobacco in Burley tobacco varieties group during the period 2006 – 2012. Identification of viral diseases in natural conditions of infection is carried out visually by inspection of the routing area, based on the characteristic of each virus symptoms. To prove under field conditions was used tracer method and proof of PVY serological method (DAS ELISA). Of the seven years of the monitoring on Burley tobacco, 2011 was characterized by the highest percentage of plants infected with PVY – 13%. In 2006 and 2007 developing of RVY is the least by the end of the vegetation does not exceed 1%. Developing of tobamoviruses during the monitoring period is less than the economic limit of harmfulness, remaining below 1%. For each year of the study, the influence of factors such as varietal specificity, environmental conditions and existing infectious background at the time of the audit is individual.
