Soybean productivity by water deficit conditions during different vegetative stages
Radost Petrova, Aleksander Matev
Abstract: The experiment was conducted during 2004 – 2006 period in the experimental field of Agricultural University – Plovdiv. The aim of the study was to determine the influence of different irrigation regime on the productivity of soybean (variety of “Mira”). Following variants were tested: without irrigation; optimum irrigation; without the first, second or third irrigations; only first, second or third irrigation. The additional yield by irrigation conditions is 37–92%. Depending on the amount and distribution of precipitations, reduction of yield by water stress during the flowering is 6 – 29%. From beginning to full seed (R5 – R6) yield losses amounted to 20–23%.
