Liriomyza trifolii (Burg.) Potential Danger to Vegetable Crops
Yanko Dimitrov, Nedyalka Palagacheva
Резюме: Liriomyza trifolii (Burg.) is a serious pest of many ornamental and vegetable crops grown in greenhouses and outdoors. The reason for this is primarily the fact that the type is with great ecological plasticity, high reproductive potential and broad nutritional expertise. In our L. trifolii is not widespread, but it’s presence in all the neighboring countries and increased trade in cut flowers, potted plants, vegetables and more. Prerequisite to become a potentially dangerous enemy. L. trifolii is a kind that likes warm temperatures. At a temperature of 25 ºC the development of the first generation runs for 18 days, which is shorter than the other leaf flies. Started soaring temperatures in recent years shows that our country has this kind of real world developments and showed high biological potential that can develop in a short time.
