Investigation of cold hardiness of wine grapevine cultivars under controlled conditions
Simeon Krumov, Anatoli Iliev, Miroslav Ivanov
Резюме: The reaction of wine grapevine cultivars grown in the region of Kyustendil to low winter temperatures in controlled (laboratory) conditions was studied. Тhe results for the three controlled freezing levels (-15,0ºС; -20,0ºС; -25,0ºС), show that the highest hardness to low winter temperatures have the cultivars with interspecific origin - Slava and Kaylaskish rubin, and the lowest - standard cultivars of Vitis vinifera L. - Tamyanka and Pamid. Statistically proven interspecies cultivars have superior to standards in terms of their cold hardness. The differences between the cultivars are most affected by temperatures of -20,0°C and -25,0°C.
